Uptown Brown 1" profile
Every 4ft Uptown Brown board is made with the equivalent of 78 recycled water bottles. The boards are made with a combination of recycled shampoo bottles and milk jugs but putting the amount of plastic in the form of water bottles is much easier to visualize because we’ve all seen them. In just a 4’ x 8’ x 11” garden, 1014 plastic water bottles were diverted from the ocean! The other component of our composite boards are the sustainable hardwood fibers that are mixed in for strength and texture.
Which joint pack do i need?
Our different joint packs can be confusing if you haven’t used them before so here’s a quick breakdown of what each pack is used for. Our Stacking brackets come with stacking stakes. These stakes can be used on the ground level of a garden bed however their main purpose is to stack additional levels on garden beds and landscape edgings. Our anchor joints come with the same hardware as our stacking joint packs however instead of stacking stakes they come with anchor stakes. Anchor stakes are used for the ground level of raised garden designs and landscape edgings for additional support, although they are not required for every raised garden bed design. Our 4-way bracket packs are used to make 3-way and 4-way connections and are most used to install cross boards for garden bed support. Each 4-way pack has enough hardware to install 1 cross board and each anchor/stacking joint pack has enough hardware to bracket and connect 2 boards.
